What participants are saying:

"Great Experience! The equipment I used from you was in great condition. Very professional and flexible to our teams needs" ---Team Quixote

WW Wade

"If you’re looking for a solid ropes instruction for AR, you should check out Pura Vida Adventures in Brevard, NC, owned by adventure racer, commercial guide and college instructor Joe Moerschbaecher. Joe recently conducted a weekend AR training camp that concentrated on Ropes Skills and Whitewater Safety .

The beauty of this camp is that Joe gears all of his instruction and advice around situations you would encounter in adventure racing. Thus for each discipline, he “shows-n-tells” a multitude of gear choices but zeroes in on selections that are strong, durable, tried-and-true, but, when feasible, as lightweight and packable as possible, to lessen the burden of hauling it around during a race. Or, he might suggest gear selections that will be easier to manipulate when your motor skills are suffering due to sleep deprivation, cold, etc.

Joe is a confident, organized and very experienced instructor with an AR background. The price was EXTREMELY affordable for the level and depth of personalized, hands-on instruction we got. e will tailor the instruction to exactly the types of things you’re seeking to learn." ---Tracey Lewis, avid adventure racer, member of trailblazers Charlotte Chapter
